Whether you need a place for a group, a family, or just one or two people, we have accommodations to fit your needs.  Nestled in the hills of Cullman County, Alabama, at the entrance to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, this is just the place to escape the bustle and noise of every day life, and to commune with the Real Presence of our Lord.

Enjoy Your Stay Near The Shrine

Designed to be an extension of your visit to the Shrine and EWTN, St. Mary’s Guesthouses lend themselves to a time of quiet contemplation, prayer and renewal. All of the retreats are within comfortable walking distance to the Shrine. Pilgrims traveling by foot can enjoy the peace and serenity of this 30-40 minute walk and fully clear their minds and prepare their hearts for their visit with our Lord.  For those who prefer to drive, the trip is a convenient 2 minutes from our retreats. Pilgrims can easily travel to Conventional Mass at 7:00 am, or drive back for a quick lunch between the day’s events.

Our retreats have private patios and decks, offering a wooded view of the Mulberry River, as well as cozy, uncluttered bedrooms adorned with images of Our Lady and Our Lord, in which to meditate and reflect. The comfortable living areas include televisions equipped with satellite, so you can enjoy EWTN programming or settle in for an evening of family movie time, and the fully equipped kitchens mean that you’ll never have to leave your retreat to enjoy a meal.

Four Retreats To Choose From

  • St. Mary Guesthouse: This retreat is suitable for groups or families. It sleeps 1- 8 guests with three bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a large eat in kitchen, a comfortable living area, and a spacious deck with grill. For photos and prices click here.
  • St. Francis Guest Suite: This is a private suite that sleeps 1-5 guests with a queen bed, a full convertible bed, and a twin roll-away. There is one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette with a dinette table. For photos and prices click here.
  • St. Benedict Log Guesthouse: This log guesthouse sleeps 1-4 guests with a queen bed and a full sofa bed.  It offers a utility room, kitchen, nice deck, and fireplace. For photos and prices click here.
